As part of the clients global IT strategy an increasing number of the server and client applications were being insourced from regional IT offices to a centralized virtual platform.
The central IT function was being overloaded by requests and there was an urgent need to remove this bottleneck. I assisted in documenting and optimizing the process and handed it over to a new dedicated team. During process development I worked with internal IT staff to anchor the process with corporate stakeholders and policies.
I also produced detailed documentation of the process in order to allow global IT to communicate it clearly to local IT.
Today the process is being run effectively by a dedicated team with the ability to meet the needs of local business divisions.
