The client had a very complex mail setup with dozens of mail domains scattered globally on dozens of mail systems. Due to a highly critical re-branding event a common mail domain was needed within two months.
Additional requirements were delegation of mail address management as central staffing was limited. More than 20,000 mailboxes needed new primary alias and delegation of management was imperative.
I did the technical design based on existing corporate Active Directory and Exchange infrastructure and created thousands of forwarding objects in AD. Additionally I developed and set up a .Net web solution which allowed local IT teams to manage the forwarding of all recipients.
The solution ran successfully for more than a handful of years during which I assisted the client in centralization of users and mailboxes.
